The Brazil nut market remains with high prices as a result of limited spot availability and almost zero unsold quantities to ship from origin. The majority of exporters are now finished for the season; only the largest players carry on processing to fulfil existing obligations. Raw seed has fallen in certain areas and collection is underway. It will not be until January that the bulk of the raw material starts to floods into the local markets for purchase by the exporters. Of course this is heavily subject to weather conditions which play a major role in assisting or preventing the extraction of the inshells.  With zero carryover to take us into crop 2015 we suspect the opening prices for new crop shipments will be high.
